Every age has its first ascent. This one is written in cypress.
Valero is Parfums de Marly's 2025 entry in Les Extraits, composed by Hamid Merati-Kashani. Inspired by the first hot-air balloon flight of the eighteenth century, it is a woody fougère built on structure. Bright citrus and juniper open it, lavender, geranium and cypress carry the middle, and patchouli, sandalwood and Ambrox settle the finish. Clean lines, nothing wasted.
